20 ounces of life support

I think my lack of skill in doing... anything... properly is going to cause me to slip into a deep depresssion one of these days.

Today was... er... oh, Monday. Do you ever notice how kids drink soda to get their morning wake up, while adults drink coffee? Nobody in high school drinks coffee unless they've got it in a cute Starbucks mug and are wearing a jacket that says "Cheerleader" on it. And even then I suspect they're just carrying it around to look peppy and rich. At what age does the soda/coffee transition take place?

I waited around after school for my grandma to pick me up, which she didn't, and ended up falling asleep on the bench under the trees outside with my backpack as a pillow. Lying in the shade with the breeze playing across my face and the occasional leaf floating down from above was nice. Calling my grandma later and finding out that she had a dead battery and that I would have to walk home in billion degree heat with a heavy backpack was not.

On the bright side, I now have a super fun Human Anatomy project on Lysosomes to do, in addition to some terrifically superlative Government chapter outlines.

YES!
